Does each coop come with a water or solvent based stain on it?Updated 2 months ago

Each coop comes pre-stained with two coats of water-based stain, which offers initial protection against the elements.

For long-term durability, we recommend applying an additional coat of stain, sealant, or exterior paint once assembled (and reapplying as needed over time). How often you refresh the finish will depend on your local climate. Areas with strong sun, heavy rain, snow, or humidity may require more frequent maintenance. We typically recommend at least once per year.
