Am I Guaranteed to Get the Chicks I Ordered?

All poultry from The Chicken Coop Company is guaranteed to be of the grade, quality, sex, and breed as described in the breed listing.

If an error occurs, please contact us promptly. We will review the situation and make a prompt adjustment if needed. Replacement of chicks is limited to one time per order.

Am I Guaranteed to Get the Gender I Selected?

Gender selection is not an exact science. Some breeds are easier to sex than others.

Across all breeds where gender selection is offered, we guarantee 90 percent accuracy.

If more than 10 percent of the chicks in your female order turn out to be male, we will refund the purchase price for the number of chicks that exceed that 10 percent.

Claims must be submitted when birds are no older than 8 months. We cannot accept claims after that time.

There are no gender guarantees for straight run or non sexed chicks.

What If My Chicken Does Not Look Exactly Like the Picture?

Photos on our website are representative of each breed. Individual birds may vary in feather pattern, coloration, and markings.

Even within pure breeds, natural variation occurs. Birds shown in promotional or show photography are typically the most ideally marked examples from a flock.

While we strive for consistency, some degree of variation is normal.

Is There a Guarantee That Covers Mortality After Delivery?

Our Alive and Healthy Guarantee covers safe and timely delivery.

Once chicks have arrived safely and on time, their care and well-being become the responsibility of the buyer. We do not guarantee mortalities or morbidities after safe delivery.

Purchasing live poultry carries inherent risks, even when proper care instructions are followed.

What If I Receive Fewer Chicks Than Ordered?

If losses occur during shipment and you receive fewer live birds than ordered, we will refund the poultry purchase price for the missing chicks. Shipping is non-refundable.

To help minimize shortages, we often include a few extra chicks of the same or similar breed and gender in each box.

If you receive fewer chicks than ordered, please notify us as soon as possible so we can review your order and assist you.
