Shipping & delivery information for live chicksUpdated a month ago
We ship live poultry within the contiguous United States only. We do not ship internationally or to Hawaii or Alaska.
How Shipping Works
Chicks are shipped the same day they hatch. Newly hatched chicks absorb the remaining yolk before hatching, which provides nutrients for up to three days and allows them to safely travel without food or water during transit.
We ship on Mondays and Wednesdays via USPS Priority Mail:
Monday shipments are expected to arrive by Wednesday
Wednesday shipments are expected to arrive by Friday
Chicks are delivered to the post office that services your address, and your local post office will call when they arrive.
Please remain flexible around your delivery date and be prepared to pick them up promptly so they can be placed into a warm brooder with food and water.
While we carefully schedule shipments for safe arrival, final delivery timing depends on USPS handling and routing.
Shipping Cost & Packing
Shipping is a flat fee of $70 per order, regardless of quantity.
All live poultry ships via USPS Priority Mail and are packed with nesting material and ventilation based on weather conditions to help prevent jostling and overheating.
Hatch Dates & Possible Delays
We make every effort to honor your selected hatch date. However, hatchability and timing can vary due to natural factors outside of our control.
On rare occasions, orders may be moved to a later date due to lower-than-expected hatch counts. If your order is affected, we will notify you as soon as possible with your updated hatch and ship date.
Order Accuracy & Shortages
All poultry is guaranteed to be of the grade, quality, sex, and breed as described in the listing. If an error occurs, please contact us right away. Replacement of chicks is limited to one time per order, and liability will not exceed the total price paid for the poultry.
If losses occur during shipment and you receive fewer live birds than ordered, we will refund the poultry purchase price. Shipping is non-refundable. To help minimize shortages, we often include a few extra chicks of the same or similar breed and gender in each box.
If you receive fewer chicks than ordered, please notify us as soon as possible so we can review your order and assist you.
